ZTE's high-end Nubia 5 Video Transcript
Hello, everybody. It's Lynn La, from CNET. And today, we're gonna check out the unlocked Nubia 5 from ZTE. As one of ZTE's top-tier handsets, the Nubia 5 has a solid, higher-end build quality. And it has a nice faux-metallic trim along its edges, here. The phone has a crisp and responsive 5-inch, 1080p full HD display with 443ppi. It is HPA quest-enabled, runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and features ZTE's my favorite user, Interface. Interestingly enough, for this phone, the UI doesn't include an app drawer. Instead, you'll find all your app stored either on the homepages, or individual folders. Powering the device is a quad-core 1.5-gigahertz Snapdragon S4 processor, and the non-removable 2.3 ampere hour battery. Users will also get 16-gigs of ROM, and 2-gigs of RAM. In addition to the front-facing 2-megapixel camera, there's also a 13-megapixel camera on the back, that can shoot 1080p video. The camera has 3 major shooting modes, the Auto, a more advanced Pro mode, and a Sun mode that has these Instagram micro-filters. You can purchase the device, unsubsidized, through ZTE's website for about $450. Again, I'm Lynn. And you've been checking at ZTE's Nubia 5.
Though it sports the same high-end hardware (5-inch 1080p screen, quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 13-megapixel camera), the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition forgoes the TouchWiz user interface for the skinless Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Though both the AT&T and Sprint LG Optimus Gs have quad-core processors and a 4.7-inch screen, only the latter is equipped with a hefty 13-megapixel camera.
With its 5.5-inch screen, the LG Optimus G Pro is an enormous Android Jelly Bean handset from LG that's also equipped with a quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera, and NFC.

Equipped with a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, and an impressive 8-megapixel camera, the Optimus 4X HD is a fantastic LG device.
Sony's Xperia Z1 smartphone packs a Full HD display, supercharged quad-core processor and 20.7-megapixel camera into a waterproof, glass and aluminium body.
At CES 2013, ZTE unveiled its 5-inch, quad-core handset, the Grand S, which also sports a 13-megapixel camera.
With its Snapdragon 800 processor, 1080p screen, and 13-megapixel camera, the Grand S II is ZTE's most powerful phone yet.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the latest giant phone from Samsung, packing a 5.7-inch screen, a stylus, a burly quad-core processor, and a camera that captures 4K video.
CNET goes hands-on with Samsung's flagship Android 4.0 smartphone, which boasts a larger 4.8-inch screen and a speedy quad-core processor.
ZTE Nubia 5 Review
The good: The competitively priced ZTE Nubia 5 has a polished design, a sharp camera, and a crisp 1080p screen.
The bad: The handset lacks LTE and storage gluttons won't dig the device's lack of expandable memory.
The bottom line: Although it doesn't have LTE, the ZTE Nubia 5's impressive specs and reliable performance make it a great value for an unlocked, high-end phone.
