>> Hi, this is Rafe Needleman at CES in Las Vegas, taking a look at the Yahoo Connected TV. It is a new initiative by Yahoo, you can put there widget engine on TVs everywhere. Yahoo has announced partnerships with Samsung, Sony, VIZIO, LG and Toshiba to put this system which puts Yahoo widgets on your TV in front of your display. The idea is that you're watching a TV show and you wanna see weather, you wanna sport scores, stock quotes, Twitter feed, Flickr, eBay, Yahoo, whatever. You hit a little widget button on your remote, select your widget and it pops up over the screen in front of you although it's really handy for multitaskers who wanna watch more than one thing at a time. Now a couple of things about this. It's not out yet. It'll be out in March and it's not connected with the TV content. It's so really cool but if you want a widget to pop up when something happens related to what's on TV like if somebody scores a touchdown, that's not there yet. However, they are working with companies like eBay and Amazon to pop up widgets when something that matters to you happens like you're about to lose an auction. It looks pretty cool. If you don't mind watching several things at once, you should look for it stores in March in a lot of TVs or so they say. This is Rafe Needleman at CES in Vegas. ^M00:01:22 [ Music ]
