It's Tuesday, June 7, 2011. I'm Wilson Tang and it's time to get loaded. Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference was jam-packed yesterday. We'll try to get the most of the news, but if we've missed anything, be sure to check out CNET.com for all the latest. At yesterday's keynote, the first product to get unveiled was Mac OS X Lion, the new operating system from Apple promises a slew of new changes including multitask gestures that will let you control safari and new features like mission control, which is like an AMTAP expose that combines the dashboard and now native full screen app support. Other new features include a full screen app launcher called launch pad resume, which will start apps right where you love to. Auto saving and versioning of files and a new follow sharing feature called AirDrop. OS X Lion will be available only via download from the Mac app store in July for just $29. Next up is the 5th iteration of Apple's operating system for the iPhone, iPad, and iPad touch called iOS 5. The touch base mobile operating system finally fixes notifications instead of annoying pop ups. The notification center organizes your post notifications. New e-mails, text messages, stocks, and even weather into a pull down menu that can also appear on the lock screen. New features include newsstand, which will download subscriptions in the background, A new reminders app the will integrate with calDAV in exchange, extensive Twitter integration, and the camera app is now accessible lock screen. Also, Apple launched a new messaging service between iOS 5 devices called iMessage that is a lot like Blackberry messenger. Finally, iOS 5 does not require a computer anymore to set up. Finally, from WWDC, iCloud made its debut and Apple says it will replace the much maligned $99 a year MobileMe service. For free, users will get 5 gigabytes of storage, contact syncing counter sharing, and e-mails with an atme.com e-mail address. Also included is app syncing, iBook syncing, document sharing and backups. Not included in the 5 gigabytes of storage is the photo stream, which is a collection of all your recent photos and iTunes in the cloud, which will push your purchase music to all your devices. Steve Jobs one more thing moment was the announcement of iTunes match, which is part of the iCloud service, but is not free, instead of uploading your entire music collection to the cloud, iTunes will now scan your existing music collection and Apple will match the music in the cloud. This saves weeks of upload time and does not [unk] your 5 gigabytes of storage. iTunes match will cost 24.99 a year. iCloud and iOS 5 are expected to debut in the fall. At the same, Apple's WWDC, the gaming industries E3 gaming comfort was happening. Microsoft accidently leaked news of a new Halo 4 games, sorry, master chip. The company also announced some updates with successful connect motion sensing accessory like voice integration woven into many games. In addition to connect, the company announced that it is adding live television to the Xbox, though it hasn't announced any partners or a price, but what will we do now is that the Xbox will be getting YouTube and Bing. Sony press conference was also yesterday, and the company deeply apologizes for the recent hacking attacks on its PlayStation network, but the big news of the night was for its next generation gaming portable and wait for it, it is called the PlayStation BETA. The PS BETA will come with HD graphics, a multi touch 5-inch OLED screen, front and rear touch sensors, front and rear cameras, and also a great price.
