>> What happens when you're not in front of your computer when you need to look something up -- dah! You use your phone. Microsoft hopes you'll use its Live Search application instead of your browser, you should too. I'm Jessica Dolcourt with CNET Download.com with your First Look at Windows Live Search 4.2 for Windows Mobile phone. Version 4.0 improves upon previous versions in a number of ways including the new Locate Me feature that can find your general whereabouts even if you don't have a GPS phone. It also adds the neat angled Bird's Eye View for some of the larger cities that's kind of like Google Street View. Also new, you'll be able to see suggested search results when you type a search query into the bar. As in previous versions, you can press the button to record a voice search as well. If you're looking something up in a different city, you'll now be able to type the city name and business name and get results you're looking for without having to change your location. The app still features nice timesaving shortcuts for finding nearby gas stations, directions, movies and so on. I'd still prefer my search terms to pull down from my choice of search engine, but if you've got a Windows Mobile phone, it's worth trying out this research app. Get started by pointing the phone's browser to wls.live.com. I'm Jessica Dolcourt, you've been looking at Windows Live Search 4.0 for Windows Mobile Phone. ^M00:01:21 [ Music ]
