Visual-effects the Madagascar way
At the DreamWorks press junket for Madagascar in San Francisco, we spoke to the visual effect supervisor of Madagascar, Philippe Gluckman, and learned about the complexities of animation within the jungle setting--from 4 million leaves on 14,000 plants to crowds of dancing lemurs.
The story centers on Chicken Little's (Braff) wildly active imagination and tendency to overreact. He causes an uproar in his town when he pronounces that "the sky is falling down," which winds up getting him shipped off to a special camp where he meets other animals with challenges of their own. Cusack will voice the ugly duckling, Zahn is a big pig named Runt, Sedaris is Foxy Loxy, Finneran is Foxy's sidekick Goosey Lucy, Knotts is the Turkey Mayor and Marshall is the Father.
