>> Hi, I'm David Katzmaier senior editor from CNET.com and I'm at the Westinghouse TX47F430S. This is a 47 inch LCD flat panel HD TV. It's a 1080P resolution model so it's designed to deliver every detail of the highest resolution HDTV sources. Westinghouse clad this TV entirely gray. There's this charcoal gray around the edge here, gray speakers below and again the dark gray stand that matches. It's a pretty nondescript almost industrial look, but maybe some people will like it. The menu system in this TV is actually pretty complex. You can go in and adjust a lot of the picture controls including fine tuning color temperature. And there's even quote unquote calibration menu that allows you to make some other adjustments. We really like that feature. Around back, you'll find a good selection of inputs including four HDMI inputs, one pc input, and two component video inputs. So, in terms of relatively inexpensive LCDs this is one the most well equipped in terms of input. It's a really nice thing. In terms of picture quality, the Westinghouse impressed us with its color accuracy. It's out of blocks color was very good and after adjustment it was even better. We also appreciated the video processing it handled 1080I and 1080P sources very well. On the flip side it's got some pretty bad black well performance when you turn down the lights and look at a dark scene the blacks are relatively bright and you can also see some different levels of black. The areas like the corners of the screen are a little bit brighter than the rest. So there's some uniformity problems, so, overall though it's a relatively good performing LCD. Anyway that's a quick look at the Westinghouse TX47F 430S and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:43 [ Music ]
Despite its budget price, this small wide-screen HDTV can produce a surprisingly good picture.
The Westinghouse L1916W has an incredibly low price for a monitor with overall good performance.
The Dell UltraSharp 2007WFP, a 20-inch wide-screen LCD, serves up a winning combination of features, image quality, and adjustability--all for a very reasonable price.
This 19-inch wide-screen monitor packs a punch, with above-average performance, full-sounding built-in speakers, and a very sweet price.
Westinghouse introduces a flat screen TV that will mount on the wall, and play DVDs. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, CNET's Molly Wood takes a look.\r\n
The wide-screen Samsung SyncMaster 244T delivers good color accuracy, but you can find better monitors for the money.
The Coby PMP-4320 is a wide-screen media player that offers playback and recording of audio, video, and FM radio at a remarkable price.
The Seiki SE50UY04 breaks new ground in pricing for a TV with 4K resolution. That's the good news. But all those extra pixels don't mean its picture is better than that of a standard 1080p TV.
The Dell Crystal is a 22-inch wide-screen flat panel monitor that comes with a 2-megapixel Webcam and houses two speakers within the glass overlay. Overall, the monitor has a very nice aesthetic but is a bit pricey, as it has limited connection options.
The Alienware Aurora m9700 packs a wallop with dual SLI graphics, two hard drives, an integrated TV tuner, and a gorgeous 17-inch wide-screen display, but we expected its performance to knock us out instead of merely leaving us weak in the knees.
