The script is the first feature film written by Tony Kushner, winner of the Pulitzer prize, the Tony award, and many other awards for his epochal Broadway drama "Angels in America" as well as its Emmy award-winning adaptation of HBO. Starring Eric Bana, Daniel Craig, Geoffrey Rush, Hiam Abbass, Ziad Adwan, Mathieu Kassovitz, Hanns Zischler, and Ciaran Hinds.

"The Squid and the Whale" trailer

Writer-Direstor Noah Baumbach earned the 2005 Best Dramatic Directing Award at the Sundance Film Festival for his heartfelt film about a family splintered by divorce. Anchored by an uncompromising performance by Jeff Daniels as the family patriach, the film also stars Laura Linney, Jesse Eisenberg, Owen Kline, Anna Paquin and William Baldwin.
