VLC Media Player Video
VLC Media Player Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Jason Parker from Download.com and this is a First Look at VLC MediaPlayer. VLC is a free media player which stands apart from some of the other big name players because of its flexibility in playing almost any type of video file. It's loaded with features and options to affect video playback including filters to improve video and sound quality. Not only limited to video files found on the Internet, VLC can also handle your DVD movies and audio CDs. A bookmarking feature lets you mark specific parts in a video making it possible to go right to the best part of the video every time. For better audio, VLC Media Player offers a full featured Equalizer with several presets to choose from in a pull down menu. You get a multitude of aspect ratios to choose from for wide screen or whatever a movie might require and it even lets you play movies as your desktop background. If you like to have more information and flexibility than the somewhat sparse interface, VLC lets you access an extended interface giving you on-the-fly control over video filters, the equalizer, and audio controls. Overall, we think VLC Media Player is a great app for watching videos in almost any format. All the added extra bells and whistles only add to this programs usefulness. I'm Jason Parker from Download.com and this has been a First Look at VLC Media Player.
