>> Hi I'm senior editor David Katzmaier and I'm with the Visio VM60P HDTV. This is a 60 inch flat panel plasma television, one of the largest plasmas we've ever reviewed. Its claim to fame is that it's actually the least expensive 60 inch plasma on the market right now. It's about three thousand dollars and that's a pretty good price for a flat-panel TV this massive. Visio didn't really skimp on the design however, the edge of the TV is bordered by metal which is something we haven't seen very much of, although though I'm really not a big fan of the caller, it's actually bronze all the way around the frame here. And the matching stand is also bronze, a kind of wish they would have went with black, but what are you going to do. Does stand itself also has this nice glass top, which does add a little bit to the design of the set. Feature wise, the big thing here is the four HDMI inputs, there's actually four on the back there, that means you can actually connect for digital devices via HDMI, it's more than any other TV we have reviewed ever. And there is also a computer input and a pair of component video inputs so it's pretty nice. The other features are pretty darn good as well, there's plenty of picture customization including color temperature controls that you can fine tune. When we took the video into the lab and a lot of things were somewhat disappointing, of course this is a relatively inexpensive TV but at the same time we would have appreciated better black levels and a slightly more accurate color. We also noticed some false contouring which shows up as banding in light to dark areas. On the other side it's a relatively inexpensive for such a big screen, so I think the picture is going to satisfy as a lot of people for the price. That's a quick look at the VisioVM60P HDTV and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:37 [ Music ]
