>> Tom Merritt: Hey, I'm Tom Merritt for CNET.com taking a look at the new XVT line of TVs from Visio. This here is the VF 551, it's a 55 inch TV with LED backlights. There's 960 LEDs backlighting this and what that does is give them some extra control over the way that they dim, they have something that they call smart diming so you can make sure you have a nice even picture. Down here they've tweaked the sound bar, something called True Surround in here as well as True Volume, True Volume allegedly will make sure that the volume doesn't spike up when the commercials come up or you change channels. Now this will be 2199 available in September, this will be revved in November to the XVTVF552 and we have a 47 inch version of that over here. This is the SV472 which has some of the features that the 552 will have as well. This will also be available around November. This comes with integrated internet but what Vizio is doing differently is they've created their own platforms so for instance Voodoo is gonna bring their movies here. They have Blockbuster on board as well but they also have the Yahoo widget engine so any widgets that are made for Yahoo will appear in here as well. Also means that you want to write a game or something you can actually get the developers kit from them and write a game for the Vizio TVs. Speaking of gaming if you look at the keyboard it's actually got a full QWERTY set up and even some game controls if people do want to write those games. This is for entering things into Twitter or searching through your movies or something like that. The TV settings are just another widget in the same interface as everything else so you don't have to go poking around looking for the contrast, looking for the brightness. It's all part of the same interface. This, the SV472 as well as the 552, the 55 inch version of that with the connection, will be available in November. The 55 inch will also run 2199.
