>> What's up guys Brian Tong here with CNET.com at CES 2009 with a first look at Vizio VF550XVT1A. Now this is a 55-inch LED TV from their high-end flagship line. And some of the cool features you'll have their smoothed motion technology which is a 240 hertz refresh rate, so it makes pictures look great. You'll also have a one million to one contrast ratio and some other goodies they have is there's a USB port on the side of it. Shipping with this product will be an actual thumb drive that has media console on that does support up to 1080p quality video. You also have 5 HDMI ports on it, as well as support for their TruVolume technology where when you watch TV and you hear those adds some of them are super loud compared to the program you have, this auto corrects that. Now, the price of this display will be 1999. Vizio is known for their great value for the size of the screen and this is an LED TV. You'll be expecting to see it sometime around summer of 2009. There you have it. I'm Brian Tong with cnet.com with our first look at the Vizio VF550XVT1A. ^M00:01:01 [ Music ]

Vizio VF551XVT Review
The good: Inexpensive for a local dimming LED-based LCD; can produce extremely deep black levels; less blooming than many local dimming models; relatively accurate color; solid dejudder processing; plenty of connectivity with five HDMI and one PC input; energy efficient.
The bad: Backlight fluctuates with program content; below-average shadow detail; fewer picture controls than some high-end HDTVs; ho-hum styling.
The bottom line: Sure, it has a few flaws, but nothing fatal prevents the local dimming, LED-backlit Vizio VF551XVT from exhibiting excellent LCD picture quality for the buck.
