>> Hi everyone, this is Eric Franklin from CNET.com, and today we're looking at the ViewSonic VX2265 WM Fusion. This is actually one of the first computer monitors compatible with the Nvidia 3D vision kit, which basically are these 3D glasses right here. They're stereoscopic 3D glasses, and they work with this sensor here. They give your games added depth. For instance, if you're playing Unreal Tremor 3, and you look at your HUD on the screen, your HUD will look like a sticker on the screen, while everything else, the graphics and vehicles and stuff, will look further away. Okay, back to the monitor. The monitor has good games performance and built in stereo speakers that have decent sound. It has a lack of ergonomic options in that it only tilts back 15 degrees. The footstand, while wide, is actually very wobbly. Actually the neck of the footstand feels like it's gonna break off at any moment when we push it from the side like this. There's no screen height adjustment, rotation, or pivoting included with the monitor. As for connection options, it only has DVI. There's no HDMI or VGA, which is very disappointing. The display includes no onscreen display, or OSD. If you want to change the brightness or the volume, you can do that through these buttons, but there's no onscreen GUI to change either the contrast or the color options. As far as movies go, we found that the backlight bleed-through adversely affects movie playback in that it brings down the black level to a level we're not comfortable with while watching movies. The fact that the ViewSonic VX225 WM is compatible with Nvidia's 3D vision kit is its only saving grace. Its lack of features, however, makes it impossible to recommend, especially since it costs about $350 to $400.00. If you're looking for a 22-inch display, we recommend the Gateway HD 2201. Once again, this is Erik Franklin. This has been the first look at the ViewSonic VX2265 WM Fusion. ^M00:02:00 [ Music ]
