>> What's up? I'm Brian Tong, and welcome to the Apple Byte. It's the good and bad inside the world of Apple, and last week was all about the 3.0 software, and now everyone is talking about the next iPhone. The rumor mill has been working overtime with more and more potential details for the iPhone 3 Geezie, that's what they're gonna call it by the way, just an FYI. Now the [inaudible] report says their high up AT and T source confirms a new iPhone release in mid-June, with faster internet speeds at 7.2 megabits per second. The current iPhone chip set supports 3.6 megabits, but it's not clear if the boost is for 3G, Wi-Fi, or both. Now new Apple device ID's have been found in the 3.0 firmware, but we told you about them in previous episodes. And is video capture finally coming to the iPhone? Well if you ask me, I'm saying yet. Now check this out. Currently on your iPhone 3G you can send a picture directly to a Mobile Me photo gallery, but in the new firmware a screen shows up that says publish video. That's not a mistake, so hold onto your butts, and we'll see if Apple announces this in the future. The iPhone is finally coming to the world's largest cell phone market. China Unicom has confirmed the iPhone will be available to over 1.3 billion people on May 17th. They're currently the world's third largest mobile provider, with over one hundred and twenty five million subscribers. That's a lot of people, with lots of phones. So if iPhone 3G speeds were turning the crap at Macworld and CES, let's just hope that China Unicom can get through a normal rush hour. And since we're talking about China, let's stay in the Far East for my new favorite app. [foreign language]

Okay, in other quick news, iTunes has switched on it's Genius feature for TV shows and movies, so now it will give you recommendations for that content. And there has been a graphics firmware update for the seventeen inch MacBook Pro Unibody. Users were complaining about lines, and distorted images on the display.
