>> I'm Nicole Lee, associate editor for CNET.com, and this is a first look at the Verizon Wireless CDM8975. This is the latest push to talk phone for the Verizon Wireless network. As you can see here, it's a pretty utilitarian design, all black all around, but it does have a nice external display on the front. Underneath the external display are the external music player controls. Underneath that is the external speaker grill. On the back you do get the one point three megapixel camera, but there is no flash. Up on the front you do get a nice two inch QVGA display here. It does show two hundred sixty two thousand colors, so it's a very colorful screen here. Underneath the display you do get a very nice navigation array. The keypad is very nice and roomy, it's also very tactile, easy to dial by feel. As far as features go, you do get the push to talk functionality, which means you can use the phone like a walkie talkie with other Verizon Wireless push to talk phones. You also get V-Cast music, which means you can download music over the air. You also get V-Cast video streaming. You also get AGPS, and it comes with VG navigator which is Verizon's turn by turn location based service. The Verizon Wireless CDM8975 is around a hundred dollars with a two year service agreement.
