I'm Jasmine France, senior associate editor for CNET.com, and I'm here today with the V-moda Vibe II earphones. Now, arguably the most interesting aspect of these earphones is the design. There's a few things about that. First is style, second is durability, and third is comfort. So let's start with style. Now, these come in two different color options. There's the chrome rouge version, which is the one I have in my hand. That has the silver over-all color with some kind of reddish-orange accenting that you can actually see the light through. And then there's the Nero version, which is a black model with the silver accenting. And these are actually all metal. They are metal earbuds, metal call/answer button, and metal mike. So you don't often see that with earphones. Usually it's like a plastic. It could be metallic. But it's not generally metal. Another thing about these is they have a cable-coated cord. Now, that stands up well over time, usually. It does tend to be a little more tangle prone, but we tend to think it's a little more durable, and it has the modified "L" plug housing, which has this rubberized material around it, lets it bend without putting stress on the cable. The last thing is comfort. Now, these are really small earbuds, as you can see, and they come with extra small ear tips. If you have smaller ears, these are probably the way to go. They go up to small, medium, and large as well, but they will fit in pretty small ears, which generally makes them fairly comfortable for people that have small to average size ears. Now, the main feature of this is, of course, the stereo audio. And they do pretty well in that regard. They are definitely bass heavy. So if you want something that's a little more balanced sound, you may want to look elsewhere, but if you like a lot on the low end, these do perform pretty well. Now the V-Moda Vibe IIs aren't exactly cheap. They are gonna set you back about $130.00, but given the combination of the style, the sound quality, and the features, I think they're probably worth it. I'm Jasmine France for CNET. ^E00:01:44
