>> I'm Ina Fried here in Campinas, Brazil, one of the schools of the Bradesco Foundation where they're using--It's one of the biggest one-to-one computer projects in Latin America. All the students here are using the Classmate PC. I've been touring math classes and other different classes, but I wanted to show this art class because I think it's a very interesting way the students are researching different cultures using their computers. They're using the laptops to look at different cultures within Brazil and outside of Brazil. And then over here, the students are putting their laptops aside and actually making art. So, it's a unique balance of the computers and the technology and then traditional methods. We saw earlier one of the schools where the Classmate PC's are being used. In this room is where some of the software that the students are using gets designed. I'm here with [inaudible] Molina and he is working on a project that teaches students how petroleum is refined. And so here we have Mr. Oil who's showing basically the process that oil gets refined. One of the really interesting things about the Classmate PC project is the interactive ways that students can learn things. It really opens another avenue for teachers to use both traditional methods and new methods to explain the same concepts that they did before but in different ways. ^M00:01:30 [ Music ]
