-Hey guys, Eric Franklin here and today I??m doing an unboxing of the Microsoft Surface. There are 3 versions of the surface. There is a 32 gigabyte version that comes just with the tablet. There??s the 32-gigabyte version that comes with the touch cover and at 64 gigabyte version that also comes with a touch cover. This is that version right here, so we are gonna get right into it and open this Soccer Up. Alright. So, we??ll take out e-tablet box and see. The surface on it has a little bit of tape at the bottom and peel that back and it gave you play-by-play commentary. There you go. It??s nice a little blue here. Powered up by [unk]. Yes. I stand correctly. And here??s the tablet. Wrap in plastic. I don??t need that anymore and what??s this, instruction book. It seems to be there maybe something underneath there. Yup that??s all. So they got the tablet. They have the power adaptor. Now, I was gonna power this on and I??m pressing this button. I cannot see a surface. Please wait. Hopefully, I don??t have to wait too long and while that??s happening. Take out the touch cover and attach it to the-- Oh, there it is. It is that satisfying scrunched sound that if you??re seeing the Surface commercial, you??ve heard connect the power. I think the power is-- Yup. There is a power over here. Not that I have anything to plug this into. I??m going to connect it just for visual purposes and there it is. Surface is there. It??s-- There is a touch cover. There??s the tablet, the kickstand right there. There we go. And there??s a metro interface. There should be a first look video and as well as a full review on the site right now. So, check it out. Microsoft Surface RT Review
The good: The Microsoft Surface's Metro interface is innovative, elegant, powerful, and versatile. The tablet feels strong and well-built, runs Office 2013, and includes rich video and music services. Its keyboard cover accessories are the best ways to type on a tablet, period.
The bad: The tablet's performance can be sluggish, its Windows Store is a ghost town, Metro takes getting used to, and the Desktop interface feels clunky and useless.
The bottom line: If you're an early adopter willing to forget everything you know about navigating a computer, the Surface tablet could replace your laptop. Everyone else: wait for more apps.
