The ultrabook-like HP Envy Sleekbook 6 Video Transcript
I'm Dan Ackerman and we are here taking a look at the HP envy sleek book. This is a fifteen inch laptop from HP that is very thin reasonably light. Kind of like let's face it ultra book but it can't be able to because ultimately Intel's CPUs this is a version has an AMD CPUs -- instead. HPS call this a sleek book. Which is sort of a name they made up and honestly that's pretty dumb but you do kind of get the idea that this is something it. All through book like and and I really appreciate that the fact that they were able to take a lot of the HP envy design cues from the more expensive -- -- And bring them into this less expensive AMD version you really get an identical body to the Intel version of this particular laptop. But this guy starts at 599. Which I think it's a fantastic price reconsider. It's got brushed metal it's gotta be got touch -- it's very thin -- reasonably light. And of course got got Bluetooth and USB three and a bunch of other Leo extras you would normally seem to be content. From the super budget laptop. Now there is a little bit of a trade off in terms of performance. You know AMD chips for the last several generations at least. Have knocked -- performed on par with their Intel counterparts. But -- think about what you're doing Google copies their from the web to our faithful alert email media streaming some video. It's gonna be perfectly fine for all of that done there's even some decent at built in graphics and EMTs. Current -- that chip infrastructure is kind of a CPU and GP together on the same ship. -- maybe a little bit better than Intel's current 64000 integrated graphics depending on where your plane and a lot serious gaming. Up -- enough to get you through. Nor a handful of things that feel a little bit -- -- -- little bit and it's not super sturdy. Even -- it's got -- -- finished very susceptible to fingerprint and smudge is. -- but if you're willing to that trade off some of that fit and finish and some of the raw performance. Offer actually decent battery life and -- which -- looked a lot more expensive at 599. I think you'll find a lot to like here I -- Dan Ackerman and that is the HP envy actually look.

HP Envy Sleekbook 6 Review
The good: The HP Envy Sleekbook 6 has a great design for a great price, and includes Beats Audio and decent graphics.
The bad: You're trading down to AMD's A-series processors, which are not as fast or power efficient as comparable Intel parts. Unlike actual ultrabooks, this doesn't have a solid-state hard drive. Some of the construction still feels a bit budget.
The bottom line: The ultrabook-like HP Envy Sleekbook 6 is the sharpest-looking $599 laptop you're likely to find, although you'll pay a performance premium.
