Twitter Music makes songs social Video Transcript
Twitter's new music discovery service is here with a free app for iPhone. The Twitter music, you can discover new music through artists and songs trending on Twitter. Check out the apps your favorite artist follow and listen to an purchase musics straight from the app. Discovery is the key word here because you won't be able to search for a specific songs like other services. This app is just about what's being mentioned on Twitter. Get to the main navigation of the app, where the button at the top where you'll find selections for Popular, Emerging, Suggested and what's Now Playing. Popular shows you what's currently trending, Emerging shows up and coming acts, Suggested shows you artists you might like based on your tweets and follows and Now Playing shows you the songs people you follow have mentioned recently. You can also swipe left to right from any of these lists to quickly navigate to the others. When you touch Popular, you can swipe to see the hottest music trending on Twitter or touching artist to bring up more options. From here, you can play a 30-second clip of the song powered by iTunes. Add the artist to people you follow with the button in the upper right or touch their Twitter name at the bottom to bring up all the other artists who follow them. You also can touch the iTunes button if you wanna buy the song or album right away. When a song is playing, touch the spinning record at the bottom to bring up a slide up window with a nice turntable animation where you can skip to different parts of the song by touching the edges of the turntable. You can swipe left to bring up the next song in the list or to the right to see the ones before it. You also have touch pause and play controls along with the volume slider at the bottom. In the upper right, you can spread the word about an artist to people who follow you on Twitter with a pre-made tweet that's ready to share. You can listen to full length songs too but you'll need to have either an RDL unlimited subscription or Spotify premium, both of which cost you $9.99 a month. I don't really think it's worth it to sign up for either of these services just for Twitter music but if you're already a subscriber, listening to full songs is a nice bonus. Twitter Music is free at the iTunes App Store and definitely worth checking out if you're on the hunt for new music. I'm Jason Parker for CNET and this is a first look at Twitter Music. Thanks for watching.

After driving across this country in a volkswagon micro mini bus, much like the kind Arlo Guthrie has mentioned in his music,...I decided to write a special song about truck driving and the life of Truckers out on the beautiful highways and interstates of America. This is an orginal song I wrote about a very special breed...The Truckers of America! Copyrighted in Library of Congress, Washington, D.C..

Songwriter. Poet. Counter-culture icon. Consummate ladies' man. Since bursting onto the scene in 1967, Leonard Cohen has inspired generations with his unique personality and haunting music, becoming one of the most original and enduring artists to emerge from the 1960s. Now, Lions Gate is proud to celebrate Cohen's legacy with director Lian Lunson's "Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man," an intimate look at the songs, poetry, and life of one of music's most celebrated and influential troubadours. In January, 2005, Lunson traveled to Sydney to film the historic "Came So Far For Beauty" show, a tribute to Leonard Cohen at the Sydney Opera House organized by famed music producer Hal Willner. "Leonard Cohen I'm Your Man" includes behind-the-scenes interviews and live performances from this event by Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Martha Wainwright, Beth Orton, Linda Thompson, Teddy Thompson, Jarvis Cocker, The Handsome Family, Julie Christensen and Perla Battala, as well as a special performance of "Tower of Song" by Cohen and U2. And in a series of candid interviews, Cohen himself reveals his trademark wry humor and soulful intensity, using his own artwork, poetry and personal collection of photographs to reflect upon his colorful past and his creative process.

Twitter Music (iOS) Review
The good: Twitter Music has a beautiful interface for discovering music that's popular on the social networking service. You also can see which other artists like your favorite music, to potentially find new favorites.
The bad: You need to sign up for a subscription with Rdio or Spotify to hear full-length songs. The search function is limited to finding artist profiles.
The bottom line: Twitter Music is a great way to see which music is generating interest on Twitter, but don't count on it to replace your current music player.
