"Me and You and Everyone We Know" trailer

"Me and You and Everyone We Know" is a poetic and penetrating observation of how people struggle to connect with one another in an isolating and contemporary world. Christine Jesperson is a lonely artist and "Eldercab" driver who uses her fantastical artistic visions to draw her aspirations and objects of desire closer to her. Richard Swersey (John Hawkes), a newly single shoe salesman and father of two boys, is prepared for amazing things to happen. But when he meets the captivating Christine, he panics. Life is not so oblique for Richard's seven-year-old Robby, who is having a risque internet romance with a stranger, and his fourteen-year-old brother Peter who becomes the guinea pig for neighborhood girls - practicing for their future of romance and marriage. In July's modern world, the mundane is transcendent and everyday people become radiant characters who speak their innermost thoughts, act on secret impulses, and experience truthful human moments that at times approach the surreal. They seek together-ness through tortured routes and find redemption in small moments that connect them to someone else on earth. Performance artist, Miranda July, wrote, directed and stars in this remarkably original and poignant film.

"Memory of a Dream"

Based on the word "Reflections" and created for an online contest, this is a sort of art film short based on recollections of bits of dreams and scenes from my life. A twisty bit of tidbits of video put together to weave a possible story line. Don't look for too much meaning here but you should get that hair on the back of your neck standing up sort of feeling. It does have a creepy vibe, just go with it. It's only a dream. Sean McHenry Deep Blue Edit

Cold War Kids: "Hang Me Up To Dry"

Lyrically, Cold War Kids write stories about human experience in orchards, hotel rooms, laundromats & churches, seaports & school halls; characters that are funny and serious at the same time, like J.D. Salinger or "Peanuts."

"Hoodwinked" trailer

Little Red Riding Hood: A classic story, but there's more to every tale than meets the eye. Before you judge a book by its cover, you've got to flip through the pages. For this story, we begin at the end. Furry and feathered cops from the animal world investigate a domestic disturbance at Granny's cottage, involving a girl, a wolf, and an axe. The charges are many: breaking and entering, disturbing the peace, intent to eat, and wielding an axe without a license. Not to mention, this case might be tied to the elusive "Goody Bandit" who has been stealing the recipes of goody shops everywhere.

Second Sun: "Through Each Kinder Day"

We began by shooting the band against black over four hours in the lighting company AFM's test studio. Tim hung Kinoflow tubes from the ceiling and exposed only for the lamp so as to give the appearance of floating strips of light. The initial idea was to then film the band in a dense wood and dissolve between the two, however when we got to the location the next day the fields around it had turned into a lake, so we abandoned that idea and moved to a nearby service bridge over the A3. We set the band up on the bridge and drove our three cars backwards and forwards past the band at break neck speed through an eight foot gap between them and the camera and with a 30 ft stopping distance, otherwise they'd be in the hedge. I then cut it to try and give the the illusion of the band playing on a motorway. Originally the promo was to be more story lead showing the relationship between a man and a woman breaking down. We filmed this in Battersea Park and on the North bank of the Thames on a 16mm Bolex but had serious light leak issue. So, being on a budget of zero pounds, reshooting was out of the question. We salvaged the best of the footage and cut it in around the performance.
