>> One of iTunes features is the Genus feature, and what it does is analyze your music, but it can slow down your computer at the some time. I'm Brian Tong with CNET.com, and we're gonna show you how to turn it off to make your computer run a little more smoothly. Now, the Genus feature takes all the information from your iTunes collection. It uploads it to Apple servers, analyzes it. The next time you play a song, it'll suggest a bunch of other songs that sound very similar and put them into what's called a Genus playlist. It also does give you recommendations for other songs you can purchase from the iTunes store. Now, some people love this, and some people don't, so let's show you how to turn it off if you want to. You want to jump up to your menu bar, find store, and then find "turn off Genus," click on it, and it's disabled. And, as always, you can turn it back on if you want. So there you have it. I'm Brian Tong with CNET.com with an iTunes tip. Use it wisely. ^M00:00:54 [ Music ]
