Toshiba Satellite P755-3DV20 Video Transcript
-Hi, I'm Scott Stein, senior editor for CNET.com. Do you fancy yourself some 3D in a laptop? Well, if you don't, watch no further, but if you do, this is yet another of several 3D laptops that we've seen this year that use a video 3D vision, which is an active shutter 3D glasses system. This is the Toshiba Toshiba Satellite P755-3DV20. At $1199, it's one of the cheaper 3D laptops that we've seen and it's 15.6-inch laptop, so it's not gonna give you that big expanse on the pack that you see on those big honking 17 inches. This has Core i5 processor, which is pretty fast and NVIDIA GeForce 540M graphics. Now, that's good for mainstream gaming, but be forewarned that when you use 3D, NVIDIA vision 3D [unk] do drop on games, but the advantage is that NVIDIA's 3D vision system works with a massive back catalogue of games. Many of which you may already own and get automatically converted to 3D. So there's no extra purchase that you have to do, and the glasses at least one pair do come included. It also works with 3D Blu-rays and there's a Blu-ray player on his Laptop. It looks really nice when you're playing some sort of Blu-ray IMAX or 3D animated Blu-ray film. The 3D effect when using NVIDIA 3D vision is a little dimmer than looking at it through a normal display, but the effect is really nice and sharp and it's crisp and it's colorful and it's definitely the best solution right now we feel in 3D technology on computers. On the other hand, with this 15-inch screen, you're gonna notice the cramping a little bit more we did and we started thinking if only we had a 1080p display, if only we had a 17-inch display and that's the problem if you are gonna be investing in a 3D laptop and this does cost several hundred dollars more for the 3D technology versus what you pay for an equivalent laptop. Then you might as well maybe go whole hog, get a 17 inch, get all the gaming graphics, go to the next level and be able to use this for the 3D entertainment that you might crave. Now, who's craving 3D laptops? We're not exactly sure, but there are people out there who like. It is pretty much still a gimmick when you think about it, but if you like the idea and you're looking for it, if you're 3D curious we'd say, then this laptop got all the other specs and bells and whistles plus 3D so you might be interested. It does have a weak battery life however. On the other hand, if you are 3D connoisseur, look a little bit higher. I'm Scott Stein and this is look at the Toshiba Satellite P755-3DV20.

Toshiba Satellite P755-3DV20 - Core i5 2410M 2.3GHz - 15.6-inch TFT - with Nvidia 3D Vision Kit Review
The good: The Toshiba Satellite P755-3DV20 is packed with features: Blu-ray, midrange Nvidia graphics, and Nvidia 3D Vision with included glasses, along with Harman Kardon speakers and USB 3.0.
The bad: Battery life is under 3 hours at best, and hard-core 3D enthusiasts would likely prefer a larger, higher-resolution screen.
The bottom line: The 3D-enabled Toshiba Satellite P755-3DV20 is one of the more affordable 3D-enabled laptops, but it lacks the horsepower we've seen in more-robust 3D gaming laptops.
