-Hey there, I'm Josh Goldman, Senior Editor with CNET. And this is a look at the Toshiba Portégé Z935 P300. It's pretty much a textbook example of an ultra-book, not terribly exciting but solid nonetheless. It has the fit in like chassis made from magnesium alloy measuring about ½ inch thick and weighing 2.5 lbs. It's powered by a 3rd generation Intel Core i5 Mobile processor which gives a decent computing power as well as the battery life of more than 5 hours and also boots in a matter of seconds. The 13.4 inch screen gives you ample room to work and the keyboard, I've used better on similarly sized notebooks but the keys are backlit and it is spill resistant. The [unk] is good and you get wireless and in bluetooth and it is Intel Wireless display ready. Overall it's just a very nice laptop for everyday use. I'm Josh Goldman and that's the Toshiba Portégé Z935 P300. Thanks for watching.
The original Toshiba Portege Z835 was a fantastic value that helped us overlook a weak keyboard/touchpad combo. This faster version is about $200 more, but keeps the same so-so design.
With a full 128GB SSD at a great price and a thin, light design, the Toshiba Portege Z835 is one of the best deals in ultrabook-style laptops to date.
Though it's a tad expensive, the Toshiba Portege R200 is a well-designed ultraportable with enough speed and battery life for business travelers.
The Portege S100 offers business travelers a compact design and lots of speed, but it lacks one of the things they need most: long battery life.
The new Toshiba Portege R705 offers a great mix of price, design, features, and performance.
If money is no object for you, the Toshiba Portege R400 is an eye-catching Windows Vista conversation piece, but the rest of us will want more performance from a system this expensive.
With nearly double the battery life of last year's model, Toshiba's new R800 series of Portege laptops are hard to beat, even in the highly competitive 13-inch laptop category.
Offering most of the performance of more expensive players, the HD-A2 is an excellent value for budget-minded buyers looking to jump into HD DVD.
This one-time favorite is still an excellent go-to 13-inch laptop, if you don't need something quite as slim as an ultrabook, and you can get it for the right price.
Good design and some really nice-sounding speakers round out the Toshiba Satellite A505-S6980, a very affordable mainstream laptop with excellent battery life for its size.
