>> Hi, I'm David Katzmaier from CNET here at CES 2010, and I'm standing in the Toshiba booth. We're looking at a CELL TV. This is the ZX900 Toshiba CELL TV. First off, the CELL TV consists of the panel itself and a little box that's kind of the processor. Think of it a is CPU to the TV's monitor here. The box contains the CELL processor as well as a terabyte hard drive, a Blu-ray player, 802.11n networking, and a whole bunch of other kind of features that you can add to that. So for example, you can just the terabyte hard drive to serve up media around the house. It's kind of a network attached storage device. The TV can also interface with a lot of other interactive services such as Netflix, Cinema Now, Amazon Video On Demand, and others to be added in the future, of course. As for the panel itself, it includes a lot more local dimming elements than seen on previous Toshiba TVs. There's 512 different LED elements behind the screen here, so that really will improve the image quality. So all things considered this is one of the best featured TVs we've ever seen. And of course, the box and the TV can communicate wirelessly with one another uncompressed video and audio between there. And I think there's an [inaudible] for mode in there too. And so while we're talking about features, there's another extra a lot of TVs at this show are 3-D compatible. Of course, the CELL is as well but there's one extra it has that no another TV that we've seen so far does except for the Samsung models it's 2-D to 3-D conversion so it leverages that extra processing in the CELL processor to take all your existing 2-D content and somehow make it look 3-D. So we're real interested to check that out. So, you know, if it's got a feature that you've thought of, it's probably in the CELL TV. That's a quick look at the Toshiba CELL TV. The price you might be asking. It's going to be ultra high. They haven't said yet. The Japanese version just went on sale for the equivalent of $11,000. Don't quote me that that will be the price on this TV when it does come out later this year. But it's gonna be pretty high. I'm David Katzmaier and this has been CNET's report from CES 2010.
