TomTom Go 740 Live Video Transcript
>> Hi I'm Natali Del Conte; welcome to CES 2009 where we're taking a First Look at the Tom Tom Go 740 Live. This is Tom Tom's first network device. It works over a cellular network but they won't tell me which one yet so we're going to have to wait until it launches in the spring to actually know that, but we know you'll get a full year of service when you buy this--it's $500 and then after that there will be a monthly fee. So the reason that it's live is so that it can give you live traffic information, weather, also gas prices and Google local search. You can also edit the maps and then upload your corrections to the network and you can download corrections from a USB port when you plug it into your computer. It has traffic data for 122 cities; it's also got something called IQ Routing which gives you historical speeds on any given road. So if you're taking a trip it might take longer on any given day than it does on a different day. Again this is $500 and it works over a cellular network and this was your First Look at the Tom Tom Go 740 Live.
