The tiny Philips PPX3610 projector has some big features Video Transcript
Hello, I'm Luke Westaway of CNET, hanging out to CES 2013 with the Philips PPX3610 Pico Projector. Okay, so this tiny box of tricks will project your videos on to a wall or ceiling, anyway you point it basically. It's quite bright, it got hundred lumens of power, if it plugged in. And a slightly more moderate 60 lumens if it running on battery. If you are running this thing on its battery, they you gonna get 3hours just before it dies. Check around the back, you see it got plenty of connections. it got USB, HDMI, VGA and SD card slots as well and plenty of cables coming the box. So you got loads of connectivity options right at the back. It may look just an ordinary projector, it's got a little manual focus wheel on the top, but it actually quite a lot going on inside this device. It's running on Android Version 3.2 bizarrely enough. And you can see top here, it's actually got a track pad, so you can move around its menus and it got some build in storage, so you can keep videos on this thing. It's got a headphone out sockets, so you can hook this up to some speakers. It also got a WiFi chip inside and a built-in browser if you need to a quick spot of web browsing. It looks good and in this reasonably lit room is pumping out a seriously bright picture which is definitely good news. It is expensive though. it's $579, which is quite a lot to pay.
