>> Veronica Belmont: Hey everyone welcome to Tekzilla daily I'm Veronica Belmont. If you have more than one account on your Vista or XP machine you're prompted by a log in screen every time you re-boot your computer. What if you use one account most of the time and have additional accounts just for special occasions you know like anniversaries and such. Wouldn't it be easier if you could skip the log in process entirely. Luckily it's pretty easy to turn off that log in screen, even on a computer with multiple accounts. Just follow along, open the start menu, and type controluserpasswordtwo that's one word and hit enter in the window that pops up you will see a list of your accounts. Just select the account you want as your default and uncheck the box that says Users must enter a user name and password. Click okay and you are done. Now to switch users just click the start menu and Vista users will find Switch Users behind the little arrow on the lower hand side, and XP users can just log off and log back in. Now a word of caution the whole reason to have a log in screen is to prevent unauthorized access to your account so make sure the default account does not have sensitive data on it or admin privileges. Got a tip for us to pass along to the rest of the TZ crew email us at Tekzilla revision3.com and as always Tekzilla.com it's the place to find more tips, tricks, products reviews and how to's. ^E00:01:27
