>> Hey everyone, welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. Say what you want about Vista but that fancy little power button at the start menu is annoying. Why? We'll because it doesn't actually shut down your computer. No, it just puts your machine to sleep. How lame is that. Why not actually make it do what it's supposed to do. It's easy just follow along. Open the Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound then click on Power Options then change Plan Settings and finally change Advanced Power Settings. You'll see a thread of categories and you want to expand power buttons and lid in the Start menu your power button. If you're on a laptop you can set it one way when it's plugged in and another one choosing the battery -- your choice. Now the power button actually powers down my PC and all I can say is Woho! Now if you have a tip or trick that you wanna share then email us at Tekzilla@revision3.com. And don't forget tekzilla.com, it's "the place" to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and how-tos. ^M00:00:58
