>> Welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. If you're running low on screen real estate in Vista, here's a tip to save you a bit of space in your desktop windows. The details pane in Windows Explorer can be quite helpful when you need those bits of information, but what if you'd rather clear that space out to make more room for the main window. Just right click the details area and you can choose between small, medium, and large or hide it completely. It is locked hide, but then decide you want it back, just click organize, then layout, then details pane. So, if you're feeling claustrophobic and crammed in Vista, but can't afford a new monitor, give this tip a try.
