-Getting into shape is the most common New Year's resolution but the hardest one to keep. These days there are so many gadgets out there to monitor your steps, minutes of activity, heart rate, calories in, calories out. But one of my favorite free apps is I Map My Run for it's pure simplicity. Keep track of the routes you walk or jog and steps like elevation and pace. If you've resolve to stay better organized in the New Year, then downloading the free app Evernote is a must. The Apple sync all of your scattered thoughts, notes and ideas on every device and keep them organize and easy to follow searchable list. And finally, if you're trying to kick the nicotine habit, download the free app Quitter before you can light up your next cigarette. Quitter tracks how long you've got without smoking and motivates you by showing how much money you've saved. Hey, those multiple packs a day really add up.
