To find the answers to those questions comes down to your personal preferences for searching methods and how the information is displayed. For example, if you like rush, check out Hipmunk where airfares in a color coded display by time of day and price. Dohop and Kayak are very similar in functionality and style. Both have toggles on the left-hand side of the page, so you can adjust chapters like departure time and how many stops you'll make. Like any good travel site, Airfarewatchdog let's you create alerts for specific routes. It will keep in the know for the best deals to and from your cities of choice, and finally, as a last resort, it pays to check their airline's actually websites.
