>> Who says a speaker has to be huge to sound good? Certainly not the people over at Soundmatters, which came up with this FoxL Personal Audiophile Loudspeaker. And actually these tiny little speakers sound pretty great, especially considering the size. Now they come in two versions actually, there is just a wired version, where you plug it in via a standard 3.5 millimeter stereo-to-stereo patch cable, which they do include in the package. Or, there's a Bluetooth version, which you can stream Bluetooth audio from a music phone that has A2DP Bluetooth or one of the few MP3 players that has A2DP Bluetooth. However, we don't think that the Bluetooth audio quality is anywhere near up to the standards of Audiophile, so we definitely recommend going with the non-Bluetooth version. Now they're still going to set you back quite a bit for a speaker this size; I mean you're paying for the small size and the great sound quality. The non-Bluetooth version is $200, whereas the Bluetooth version is $250. Again, I recommend spending the $50 less and getting the one without Bluetooth and just plugging it in with the wire connection, because this is a really impressive sounding speaker given the size. A couple of other things about this speaker that I really like: it has a really nice solid design, it has this built-in kickstand in the back so you can pop it out and prop it up. You have a few other physical characteristics of note: on the side there is a port for doing line-in, which you need for the audio. On the other side, there's a mini-USB port which which can be used for charging, and there's also an AC port for charging. Now Soundmatters does include every cable that you could possibly need to charge and use this out of the box. It also includes this kind of cheap carrying pouch here; we'd of preferred to see a nice carrying case in this price range. But like I said, they do sound great and if you're looking for the most compact speakers with the best audio quality, I would definitely give these a look. I'm Jasmine France and this has been the Soundmatters FoxL Personal Audiophile Loudspeaker.
