Sony Vaio YB35KX/B Video Transcript

Hey, I'm (Scott Dime?) CNET writer at cnet.com and we're looking at your Sony Vaio YD35XB. Now the course of the whole past year we have seen (??) netbooks and the lives of this 11 inch ultra portable they have the name but a lot of times they're using MD fusion processors that provide much better performance when you an Adam processors before and the prices that are a lot better than what you pay for a Mac Book Air or Ultrabooks, this new line of thin more high powered 13 inch range laptops that are coming out all over the place. This comes in a 4.99, roughly depending on more buy it, you get offer as low as 4.69 at some sights we seen, which is a good value for what your getting here. There's a 500 Gigabyte hard drive. 4 Gigs of RAM and an MD fusion E450 processor, now what is that? Well it gives you basic good performance and what I knew by good, is that you can compute and feel like you're not getting too much slowdown and you can stream video and use flash in ways that you would normally expect too and it perform nicely, can't remember, not too long ago you're using Adam netbook and that thing would feel like you're running in glue as far as streaming videos were concerned now. It's not a very sexy design, it is in fact a little bit (??) looking in my opinion. I have a Sony Vaio (??) flair but it's plastic. It's a little bit thick compare to what you see in Ultrabooks and Mac Book Air, but it's light, 3.1 pounds, it's very portable and I've got some pretty good battery life a little under 5 hours. All of that in a package for about $500.00 is a really nice value and it something you may want to consider picking up if you need to get a second laptop or even wouldn't mind leaving with an 11 inch laptop for yourself,You can dump your whole music library on this with ease. The only weird thing about the Sony Vaio Y is the Sony and it self does not sell style (??) and we list a number of vendors that sell this laptop and you definitely find it on a bunch of places but it's a shame because Sony doesn't make a lot of inexpensive laptops and this is definitely one of those and they don't make anything else in that 11 inch range, like this. So, if you here for net book plus something that's a little more powerful and don't want to spend the case for an Ultrabook consider this the Sony Vaio YB35XB. S

Sony Vaio VPC-YB35KX/B Review

The good: The Sony Vaio YB35KX/B has a lot of hard-drive space, solid performance from an AMD E-450 processor, and long battery life; this 11-incher has the portability of a Netbook, and it's reasonably affordable.

The bad: The cramped keyboard and touch pad make this Vaio feel more like a Netbook from 2010 than an ultrabook from 2011, and it lacks USB 3.0.

The bottom line: The more affordable and better-performing Sony Vaio YB35KX/B is a modest improvement on the last YB model we reviewed, adding up to a full-featured but cramped 11-inch laptop that'll cost a lot less than an ultrabook.
