>> Hi, I'm Rick Brown, senior editor for cnet.com. Today we're going to take a look at the Sony Vaio LD19U. It certainly has a lot of the things you expect from an all-in-one PC. From a built-in web cam, wireless networking, nice big 22-inch wide screen TV, as well as built in speakers. It's a pretty self contained system. Sony also made a great effort to make the system for expandable than a typical all-in-one, and it also added a Blu-Ray player making it a really high-end device. Now another one of the defining features of this system are its looks. You can see that it rivals the iMac in terms of nice, clean design. Sony really wants you to have a clean desktop when you're using this system. You could even take that a step further. The support on the back of the system comes right off and you can mount it on any basic compatibility hardware. So as we said, Sony actually made the system pretty expandable, at least for an all-in-one. You take off this back panel, so here you can see the wall mount screws that we're talking about. Take this port right off. It's very easy. Here you have some cable wrangling going on. And over there, there's some external ports. Right here you get access to the memory and if we take off this panel right here we can get to the hard drive sled. Here Sony includes an extra tray that you can pull out and install an additional hard drive. Very few other all-in-ones that we know of give you that amount of flexibility. And finally with this package Sony also includes an ATI TV Wonder [Phonetic] digital capable tuner. It takes both cable card and standard analog coaxial cable inputs so if you're not comfortable going with the cable card standard you don't have to worry. You can still get a TV signal on this system. So with all those parts and the fact that this system is pretty self contained, Sony imagines that you'll use this system as a secondary entertainment device, possibly in a bedroom or another room in your house. We should warn you that this isn't the fastest desktop around. The iMac did a lot better on our performance tests. Still, as a self contained entertainment system, we recommend it. So I'm Rich Brown and this is the Sony Vaio LT19U. ^M00:01:50 [ Music ]

With a superb 17-inch display and an integrated TV tuner, the Sony VAIO VGN-AX570G is among the most self-contained multimedia laptops and undercuts many of them by several hundred dollars.
Sony's Vaio LV180J updates its digital-media-oriented all-in-one with a larger LCD, more powerful hardware, and an exceedingly smart method for switching between the Windows desktop and other components connected via the unique HDMI input. No other all-in-one can make as strong a claim as this one as a command center for your digital media.
You can find more-cost-effective large-screen all-in-ones for general productivity, but Sony's Vaio LV250B is our favorite for home entertainment. Loaded with unique features geared toward digital media convenience, this system will meet the needs of anyone looking for a PC to use as an entertainment hub.
HP's new TouchSmart 600 takes advantage of Windows 7's multitouch capability better than any other new all-in-one we've seen this fall. Between strong touch software and a host of digital entertainment options, it might just be the self-contained home entertainment PC you've been looking for.
Instead of succumbing to the latest fads, Sony's Vaio's JS250J all-in-one PC stays the course pioneered by its models from last year, delivering capable performance and best-of-breed home entertainment features at a better price than its all-in-one competition.
Sony builds a versatile digital media warehouse with a Media Center computer and a 200-disc changer.
With a sleek design, HD-friendly display, and a Blu-ray drive, the 16-inch Sony Vaio FW270 is a near-ideal portable entertainment center.
Earlier this year Sony was the unquestioned king of all-in-ones designed for home entertainment. The new Vaio L117FX retains and improves on many of the features we liked about older models, but revamped all-in-ones from its competition make the new Vaio seem a touch overpriced.
We like the idea of a Blu-ray-equipped all-in-one with a small footprint for home entertainment, but Sony badly missed the mark with the Vaio J114FX. In trying to make this system focused, Sony cut too many features. The result is that this PC is a terrible value relative to other all-in-ones in its price range.
Although it's expensive for a 15-inch multimedia laptop, the Blu-ray and game-playing capabilities of the attractive 15.4-inch Sony Vaio NW160J make it a worthy portable entertainment system.
