Sony PSP Go preview event Video Transcript

>> Brian: Hey guys, Brian Tong here with CNET.com at the Sony PSP Go Media Preview Event. We've got all kinds of games here and this is really to promote Sony's latest platform in mobile gaming an all digital download device, so let's check it out. All digital, all downloadable, [inaudible] gonna play a lot into that and be a crucial element. What excites you about this new delivery method specifically for the PSP Go?

>> So what's really exciting about this we've been delivering fonts into PSP's and also the UMD option but this device really speaks to the user who's really embraced the digital age and says, you know, I don't want to carry around a lot of media with me. I want to get all my contents stored on the device, get it directly from the network. And what's great is you can download directly from the device or hook up to a PC and tether this with a USB cable.

>> Brian: There's no option available yet for someone that owns, let's say, [inaudible] this to get that game on this PSP Go at the moment?

>> At the moment we have nothing to announce so we're still looking into options --

>> Brian: So does that mean we might hear something?

>> Possibly

>> Brian: In my hand here we have Fat Princess on the PSP Go originally a stellar downloadable title from the Playstation Network.

>> So there's actually 50% more content in -- or 50% more in the PSP version than in the PS3 version. They have actually extended out the chapters so there's a storyline to it, new maps, new game modes, there's just a lot of fun being brought into this tiny little package and it's just so much fun.

>> Brian: Can you tell us about your game -- what is it exactly?

>> Well, it's a little known game it's called Tetris.

>> Brian: Haven't heard about it.

>> Yeah, some of your viewers may have seen it before I'm not sure.

>> Well really it's the first time that anything's been delivered in a handheld form that's all digital in full game. And I think what we've seen from the consumers that they've really been pining for this; this is actually an extension of the platform. It's not 2.0 or 3.0 we look at it as kind of the digital side of the PSP platform. I'm sure you can utilize digital with the PSP 3,000 but this is what that consumer wants affordability and quickness and ease of use and away they go with the smaller form factor, so that's what Go's really about.

>> Brian: Okay, so there you have it a first look at the Sony PSP Go with a lot of great titles and will be coming out on October 1st for $249.00. From San Francisco, California I'm Brian Tong with CNET.com. ^E00:02:08
