>> Hi, I'm David Katzmaier senior editor from CNET dot com and I'm with Sony's KDL 46S3000. This is Sony's least expensive 46 inch LCD TV this year. That means it's skimped out on a couple of options but as you'd expect from Sony it's still got pretty much everything anybody needs. Styling-wise this TV, a little bit different from a lot of the more expensive Sony's that are coming out this year. It's all black, very matte, kind of conservative look here around the edge there's kind of this double frame. Below you've got your standard speaker bar but again, since it's matted black it kind of blends right in. The matching black stand is also part of the package. In terms of features, we were actually, kind of excited to see Sony's new menu system on this TV but we did find that there's a little too many options in it. We found ourselves scrolling around too much in this new PSP style menu system. But you know at least it does look a little bit different from a lot of the other TV menus out there. In terms of features, Sony included a pair of HDMI inputs, one PC input and two component video inputs, pretty standard on a TV this year. Image quality of the Sony was pretty good, not quite as good as a lot of the LCD's we've tested this year and higher end models, especially in terms of black level the Sony's blacks were a little bit lighter than we'd like to see. There's also a little bit of color accuracy issues especially with green which appeared a little bit too yellow but overall there really wasn't anything else to complain. The picture quality was nice and clean and there was also very good standard depth video processing which we liked to see. And that's a look at Sony's KDL 46S3000 and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:37 [ Music ]
