>> Hi. I'm Will Greenwald, assistant editor at CNET.com and this is our look at the Sony Cybershot DSC W35 and W55. The W35 and 55 are Sony's low end, budget, snap shot cameras. They're basically point and shoot, 7 mega pixels, very simple. The W35 and the W55 are more or less identical cameras. The W55, which is right here, has a shinier finish and a slightly larger screen, but otherwise they are pretty much the same. Both are 7 mega pixel snap shot cameras with 3X zooms and pretty much the same number of seen presets, automatic shooting, high SM modes, the basics. Even though they don't seem like much on paper, they're actually pretty good snapshot cameras. One of them costs less than 200 bucks and to spite their price they offer fast performance and pretty good images. You're not going to wait a lot of time between photos and there's not much shutter lag and when you finally shoot the images the pictures are going to come out pretty well, low distortion, low noise. They're not perfect, but for the price, they're pretty darn good. Now the 55, it only offers a sleeker finish and a larger screen, but it's only 20 buck more, so if you want the larger screen it's pretty much a judgment call.
