>> [Josh Goldman:] Hi, I'm Josh Goldman, senior editor for CNET Reviews, and this big hunk of camera is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20. It's a 10-megapixel camera with a 10x zoom lens. Its body is a little bigger because of that, so can't quite slip into a pants pocket, but fits easily in a jacket pocket or handbag. It's a very comfortable camera to use with this big grip here in front, a large thumb rest in back next to its 3-inch LCD. Controls are all well laid out, like the mode dial here right above your thumb. Speaking of modes, the H20 is pretty much a point-and-shoot camera, with 3 variations of auto modes and a scene selection mode. However, you do get a full manual option if you want to set shutter speed and aperture. [There]'s also a movie mode for capturing HD-quality video, and you get use of the zoom lens. The H20's photo quality and performance are excellent for its class; mega zooms are typically slow, but Sony was able to make this camera reasonably fast across the board. And the photos, it turns out, have nice natural color, and though its low-light photos aren't great, they're reliably good up to ISO 800. I'm Josh Goldman, and that's a look at the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20. ^M00:01:17 [ MUSIC ]

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 Review
The good: First-rate design; simple operation; excellent feature-to-price ratio.
The bad: Narrow lens; lens cap is a pain.
The bottom line: If you don't mind its extra bulk and narrow lens, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 is an otherwise excellent compact megazoom camera.
