>> Hi, I'm Kevin Massey, live at the CES 2008. We're here at the CNET Car Tech testing lab in the north hall at CES this year, where we have a CDXGT420IP. Now that's a mouthful, but the IP stands for iPod. And what this system allows you to do is to plug in your iPod to a, an as standard thirty pin iPod connector. All of the iPod's control functionality then comes into the stereo head unit itself. To select an artist you press the mode button, that takes you into the, the different lists of music on your iPod. So all the music on your iPod shows up on the LCD display here. There's about eight or nine characters shown at any one time on the display. You can play all your iPod music via the Sony system through your car speakers. This system is also a CD receiver, a disc receiver, it can play regular red book CDs, also compressed audio formats, WMA CDs are supported, as are MP3 discs. There's also a nice auxiliary input jack on the front of the faceplate, which will allow you to hook up non-iPod portable audio. This system is, as I mentioned, a pretty cost effective solution to bringing your iPod on the road. It's on sale now for a price of around one hundred and thirty dollars.
