Sony Bloggie Live scores with built-in Wi-Fi (hands on) Video Transcript

Hey there. I am Josh Goldman, Senior Editor with CNET here at CES 2012. This is the first look at the Sony Bloggie Live. Now, the... it looks like any other mini camcorder you can find on the market. It shoots 10 ADP at 30 frames per second. It has a 12 megapixel still photo capture, record button, flip out USB for easy connecting to your computer but the live is set apart because it has built-in WiFi and that built in WiFi allows you to do a few things. You can upload quickly to Sony's online Cloud Service called Play Memories Online. You can, with an app, directly connect to your Smartphone to transfer videos and photos straight from the Camcorder to your Smartphone or in the coolest thing which is the live factor in the name is that you can stream live directly from this device to quick.com. So that means anywhere you have an open WiFi connection, you can use this mini camcorder to stream live to your friends and family whatever event you're at. So while regular camcorders like this are losing ground to Smartphones, the built in WiFi is gonna come in handy and set it apart from the rest of the ones on the market. I am Josh Goldman here at CES 2012 and that is the Sony Bloggie Live.

Sony Bloggie Live HD Camera (Silver) Review

The good: The Sony Bloggie Live HD lets you live stream video over Wi-Fi as well as capture full HD video. It's also very easy to use.

The bad: The Live HD's Wi-Fi radio can be a bit flaky, its autofocus is slow, memory isn't expandable, and the battery isn't replaceable.

The bottom line: The Sony Bloggie Live HD lets you wirelessly live stream all your life events with the ease of a shoot-and-share camcorder. But, not without a few caveats.
