Sony Bloggie Duo Video Transcript

-Hey there, I'm Josh Goldman, senior editor with CNET and this is a look at the Sony Bloggie Duo. Now, the duo in the name refers to the mini camcorders to LCDs. On back is a 2.7-inch screen and then on front is a 2-inch screen next to the lens. Now, that way you can pop in front of the camera to be in your movies without worrying about if you're in the shot or not. So, that's kind of cool and it can also be used to try and get your kids to pay attention to you, but beyond the second screen, the duo is a fairly basic mini camcorder. It records resolutions up to 1080p and can capture 5-megapixel photos. However, the quality isn't good enough for large HD TVs. It looks much better at small sizes though and that's fun because this model is really targeted for online sharing. The overall design is nice too, and it's very simple to use. Just turn it on and press record or the shutter release for photos, but basically if you're movies are destined for web use and you like the idea of having a front facing LCD and don't a lot of other bells and whistles, go ahead and check it out. Sony Bloggie Duo Camcorder (violet) Review

The good: The Sony Bloggie Duo has a secondary front LCD, a nice-looking design, and is very easy to use.

The bad: Video quality from the Bloggie Duo is best at small sizes, and for the money it doesn't offer many features.

The bottom line: Sony's Bloggie Duo minicamcorder makes it easier to be part of your own movie clips and photos. But that's about all it does.
