>> Hi, I'm Molly Wood from CNET.com here at the Sony 2009 Line Show, taking a First Look at the Sony BDV-E500W. That is the home theater system that you see behind me. Now this is an out-of-the-box all-in-one home theater system. It's a 5.1 channel system, so 5 speakers. It also includes a Blu-ray player. This disc player also plays back DVDs and CDs and has an AM/FM tuner built in, so you really do get sort of the whole thing right out of the box. You can see it's a nice, sleek, attractive-looking system overall and it also puts Sony's S-Air Wireless Streaming technology to very good use. What it does is include a receiver that you can plug your rear speakers into and it will actually send the surround signal wirelessly to the rear speakers, which means you don't have to run a cable from the front of the house or the front of the room to the back of the room which is huge for me. The system also includes this iPod cradle and I have to say that overall, I think it's shaping up to be a pretty good value.
