>> Hi I'm Molly Wood from CNET.com here at CES 2008. I am taking a first look at a product we were very excited about last year--the SlingCatcher. Now this is round 2 because this time around the SlingCatcher is a real product. This is the actual device. They say it will be shipping in Q2 and they promise that that is true so we're going to hold them to it as you know. Now SlingCatcher, the reason we were so excited about this, people are pretty fond of Sling Box which is the device that lets you stream television from your home TV to your laptop anywhere you are in the world. The difference between Sling Box and SlingCatcher is that SlingCatcher lets you stream that television from a TV to a TV; so there are all kinds of inputs on the back here. You can hook this up to any television. You've got HDMI but you've also got composite, component, Svideo, digital audio, optical audio, so it really will hook up into anything from an HD TV to a standard VGA television set. And you can stream that television then to another television in your home or on the road. So for example all of us at CES are staying in hotel rooms that don't have TBO. If we wanted to, we could stream TV from our home televisions with that DVR to the TV in the hotel room and then use this included remote control to control the whole thing. So that's a handy feature if you already have a Sling Box. Now if you don't have a Sling Box you still can get the SlingCatcher and use it to stream video from a website onto your television. Now they say they have software called Sling Projector which will actually essentially project only the video. So if you're at say Hulu or abc.com and you don't want all the sort of surrounding stuff on the web page, they say this offer will just show you the video up on your television. We'll have to try it and see if that works. You can also plug in an external USB drive into the back and stream any content that you have on a computer or onto that third party drive onto your television as well. So you can use a network drive for example, they say they have software that will let you drag and drop media into that third party drive and it will sync it for that streaming. So SlingCatcher, again a product we were excited about in 2007, we're excited again, we're hoping it really ships in Q2 and when it does they say it will cost around 250 dollars.
