>> Hi I'm David Katzmaier, senior editor from CNET.com and I'm with the Sharp XVZ20000. This is a 1080PDLP projector, one of the first 1080P projectors to become relatively affordable in that case, this means 10,000 dollars although there is some competitors out there that cost a little bit less than the 1080P DLP category but still it's pretty expensive. On the flip side this is a very high and projector, it has pretty much all of the bells and whistles and it produces a beautiful picture. Around that you'll find two component video inputs, a PC input as well as to HDMI inputs, you have all the connectivity you are going to need. The projector itself is a very slick looking unit; it's all black this year, with the lens mounted in the center of the unit, was actually kind of a nice change from some projectors that have the lens mounted to either side. So this makes installation in little bit easier, speaking of installation there is also a lens shift control on the top of this projector so you can have a little bit of flexibility where you put the projector relative to the screen. Off course with the unit like this you are generally going to want to get a ceiling mount, a permanent installation to just take full advantage of it and not have to worry about tripping over it when it's on the floor. Again when we took this reject her into the lab we were very impressed by its performance, it delivered excellent black levels and color. And we gave it our editor's choice award in the projector category, at least for now. Anyway that's a quick look at the Sharp XVZ20000U and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:38 [ Music ]

Sharp XV-Z20000 Review
The good: Solid color decoding, excellent black level performance; good shadow detail and accurate gamma, comprehensive feature package with numerous picture adjustments; great connectivity with two HDMI and one DVI input.
The bad: Primary and secondary colors are off; all lens adjustments are physical rather than electronic.
The bottom line: Sharp's XV-Z20000 is a top performer among 1080p projectors, and delivers a solid feature package and sleek design to boot.
