>> Hi, I'm Senior Editor, David Katzmaier from CNET.com and this is the Sharp LC32GP1U. This is a 32 inch LCD HDTV. It's Sharp's highest end model this year. It actually has 1080P resolution. It's the first tv this small we've reviewed that has 1920 by 1080 pixels. So you get all that detail. Although with a screen size this small, it's really hard to discern the difference of that detail between this and say a lower resolution 32 inch tv. But it's there, especially if you put on a computer display or something like that. In terms of styling, this looks a lot like the other Sharp Aquis tv's out there. There's actually a little silver chrome bow along the bottom here to add a little bit of an accent. Kinda looks like a crooked smile. The rest of the tv is very kind of boxy looking. There's this glossy black along the edge here. Below the chrome is a little bit of speaker perforation down there and of course, there's the included matching glossy black stand which I do think is a little bit big for this size of tv. In terms of features, the Sharp does include a button on the remote labeled game. All that really does is switch to the front panel inputs, although this tv, speaking on inputs is very well equipped. There's three HDMI inputs, including that front panel HDMI input. As well as a DVI input for PC connections and two component video inputs. One of those again on the side panel which is really nice. When we took the Sharp into the lab we were generally impressed by it's picture quality. It does produce a relatively good black level although on the downside, it really doesn't have the best color temperature accuracy. So we were actually thinking the picture looked a little bit too blue compared to a lot of the other tv's out there and even if you put in the lowest color temperature preset you can't really do much about that. Otherwise though, very good performing television. Anyway, that's a quick look at the Sharp LC32GP1U and I'm David Katzmaier. ^M00:01:53 [ Music ]

The Sharp Actius MP30 packs a commendable set of features into an attractive, lightweight, and competitively priced ultraportable laptop. We recommend it.

Although its overall picture quality falls short of the best 240Hz LCDs, the LG LH55 series offers plenty of picture tweaks and accurate color.

Sharp LC-32GP1U Review

The good: The Sharp LC-32GP1U HDTV resolves every detail of 1080i and 1080p sources; delivers relatively deep black levels; slick design; excellent connectivity with one DVI and three HDMI inputs.

The bad: Expensive; benefits of 1080p resolution not apparent at this screen size; inaccurate color temperature.

The bottom line: Despite plenty of features and mostly good picture quality, the Sharp LC-32GP1U's high price makes it difficult to recommend over similarly sized LCDs.
