>> Hi I'm David Katzmaier senior editor from CNET.com and I'm with the Sharp LC32D43U. This is a 32 inch LCD flat panel HD TV. It's actually one of the least expensive models in Sharps line but it still has plenty of features and it includes this slick sharp design. I've always liked Sharp's style. This one's a glossy black finish around the edge, a nice matching stand here. Along the very edge of the panel itself there's a little silver strip which provides a nice accent. And of course the speakers are down along the bottom here underneath this sort of lip. In terms of features the set includes a 1366 by 768 resolution which is plenty for a TV of this size. There's a good selection of inputs around back including a PC style RDB input, a pair of HDMI inputs and two component video inputs. There's a good selection of picture adjustments although there's only color temperature presets you can't adjust the color temperature fine tune style. There is also a nice wide ranging back light control. I really like the fact that you can swing the back light up and down and up to 32 steps which is really a good range of control. In terms of picture quality the Sharp delivered a nice deep level of black which is one of the things we look for on an HD TV. You take the back light control down you get a nice dark picture for viewing in a nice darkened room when you're turning off the lights and enjoying a movie. When we looked at the color temperature actually in the past previous Sharp TVs had a bluer cast to the picture even when you put in the lowest color temperature. This one you put in the lowest mode it's actually a nice neutral color. So, that's a really nice improvement. Of course, like other LCD's it does tend to get a little bit more washed out from the sides and up and down. But, otherwise we really like the picture quality.
