>> Hi, I'm Will Grewald assistant editor of CNET.com and this is the Sanyo Xacti VPC HD2. It's a hybrid camera camcorder that can take both seven mega pixel stills and high definition footage. It records both photos and videos to its secure digital card not included but SG cards up to two or four gigabytes are readily available and not that expensive these days. It's a pretty interesting design. It's nice and small fits comfortably in the hand. The buttons are large and pretty responsive and it's fairly easy to use. Now, of course, the drawback with this sort of design is that it's for righty's only. If you're using it in your left hand you're not gonna be able to use the screen. Unfortunately when you're shooting the videos and the photos aren't that great. They have a lot of soft details and when you're shooting in natural light such as in the park the life tends to blow out a great deal and you'll get, loose a lot of information in your videos. It has a nice amount of different features, 10X lens, built in light, and a unique feature for this camera it can actually take still images while rolling in high def. It makes the screen freeze for about seven seconds, but it does let you keep rolling while you're taking still photos. It's an interesting device but it doesn't quite work out as a great camera or as a great camcorder. I'm Will Greenwald and this is the Sanyo Xacti VPC HD2. ^M00:01:26 [ Music ]
