Sanyo SCP-3100

The Sanyo SCP-3100 has a solid feature set that belies its simple exterior. While it may not be the most attractive phone, the SCP-3100's Ready Link support, VGA camera, voice recording, speakerphone, and great audio quality add up to a decent midtier mob

Sanyo M1

Sony Handycam HDR-XR500V

Though their geotagging capabilities are mostly novelty and their interfaces could use a complete overhaul, the top-notch video quality, performance, and consumer-friendly feature sets of the Sony Handycam HDR-XR500V and HDR-XR520V make them worthy camcorder options. Both are overpriced, but since 14 hours of recording time is plenty--especially if supplemented with flash media--the HDR-XR500V is the better deal of the two.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1 Review

The good: Records 720p high-definition video; small, lightweight, and attractive; 10X optical zoom; rotating OLED screen.

The bad: Hard-to-maneuver joystick controller; very sluggish autofocus; video and photos look overly processed.

The bottom line: If you want the latest in cool toys, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1 certainly has the right gadget quotient. Once you look at the image quality, however, its allure dims quite a bit.
