>> I'm John Falcone senior editor at CNET.com and this is the SanDisk Sansa Take TV. This is basically a plug in play approach to watching digital media and internet content on your TV. Basically the Take TV is just a glorified flash drive. So, you just pop it out, put it in your PC and there you can either download premium content from the Take TV online service or just drag in drop your own DivX, Xvid, or MPEG4 files. Once you've chose the videos you want you just pop it back out of the computer, walk over to the included dock, pop it in there and you're ready to watch your videos on your big screen TV. The onscreen in face is very clear and straightforward. You just click on the program you want and click play and you're ready to go. In terms of video quality it's actually pretty good for digital video. It's not quite up to the level of DVD but it's a lot better than the sort of things you're used to seeing on Youtube for instance. There are a few issues with the Take TV experience so far however. The fanfare service has also just started and right now there's not a lot of content there. And finally it is only three video codexes this is playing Xvid, DivX, and MPEG4. So, there's no other videos that you have on your heard drive will work at the current time nor will any other file formats such as music or photo files. So, while it has its share of issues Take TV does have two big advantages over a lot of other similar products on the marketplace. It's very easy to use. It's as close to plug in play and drag and drop as anything else you're experienced to on your desktop. And it's also very affordable.
