>> Hi, I'm Jasmine France associate editor with CNET.com and I'm here today with the SanDisk Sansa Express. This is another nice budget MP3 player from SanDisk and the kind of unique thing about this player which is kind of one of these pass? features that I haven't seen in awhile is that it has a built in USB interface. This is really handy for people that are on the go constantly if you want to use it as a storage device or what have you. This is a one gigabyte player, it's very attractively priced at fifty nine ninety nine. Has a decent array of features. It has FM radio and voice recording, it also supports protected WMA as well as MP3 and WAV files. No color screen, you don't get LMR support or you know video viewing or photos or anything like that. But you really want it on a player this small anyway. Really nice tactile control pad over here. Very simple interface, easy to use. Around the side of course with all SanDisk players we see this, it has an SD card expansion slot, in this case it is a micro SD standard headphone jack. You have dedicated volume on the bottom, always like that. And then a hold switch on the top which also comes in handy. As you can see, you can also attach a lanier [ assumed spelling ] for wearing around your neck if you feel so inclined. And the face of it is mirrored so you can actually use this for lipstick checks or teeth checks or what have you. So if you're looking for an ultra compact player with plenty of features and affordable price tag, the Sansa Express could be for you. I'm Jasmine France and this has been the SanDisk Sansa Express. ^M00:01:21 [ Music ]

SanDisk Sansa Express (1GB) Review

The good: The SanDisk Sansa Express features a handy plug-and-play design; it's inexpensive; it offers several desirable extras such as an FM tuner, support for protected WMAs, and a MicroSD expansion slot.

The bad: The screen of the Sansa Express is tiny and it's only capable of displaying two colors, so there's no album art or photo support.

The bottom line: The SanDisk Sansa Express is a solid choice for those who need an ultraconvenient MP3 player with a decent smattering of features.
